Science with Mr. Prince
Mr. Prince's Science program is filled with engaging experiments that challenge young minds and push toward new possibilities. Our children will discover more about the world we live in and what can be done to protect it. Life, Earth and Physical Science will be taught through hands-on activities that support the natural curiosity of children.
Easter Egg Hunts & Parties
The children get to dye Easter Eggs with their friends, then head out on a hunt to find them! We make homemade easter bags in every class to carry our eggs. Finally it's off to our Easter parties where each classroom decorates and celebrates!
Each class prepares part of our amazing feast. All of the classes eat together dressed as Pilgrams and Native Americans to celebrate the first Thanksgiving.
Parents are invited to come hear their children sing Christmas songs along with a re-enactment of the Nativity. Each year, the children are blessed by a very special visitor!
Everyone goes home with a Valentine or two! The children have a wonderful day together, share with their friends and enjoy yummy Valentine's Day goodies together.
St. Patrick's Day Parties
Have you ever caught a Leprechaun? Every year the children try! We make traps, find gold dust and finally after all that hard work sit down to enjoy a very green feast!
We feel it's incredibly important for the children to be exposed to other languages and cultures. The kids learn how to count, learn the days of the week and sing songs in Spanish with Mrs. Smith.
Mothers & Others Brunch
A special time for families and care givers to meet and get acquainted with others in the classroom and enjoy a special snack.
The Costume Parade
Positive costumes are required as the children show off their musical talents with tamborines and bells.
The rooms are decorated in different themes of study. This is a special opportunity for parents to get better acquainted with your child’s teacher and the class families. There is a silent auction after the classroom viewings and refreshments are served.
This is the social event of the year!
Art & Music
Our children will be participating in singing songs with Mrs. Cowell and learning to appreciate different styles of music and poetry. They will learn about originality and creativity through movement, art and dramatic play.
Breakfast at school, what fun! Children dress in cozy pajamas and bring their favorite teddy bear or stuffed animal to school with them. The children also get to have a special treat of pancakes and maple syrup for snack time.
Children come ready to ride the range in their Western wear. We serve snacks from a chuck wagon and are visited by two ponies; one for pony pictures and the other for pony rides.
The children will build moral and spriitual strength learning about God through selected Bible stories, music and prayer. Chapel will be visited twice per month.
Each class incorporates at least 30 minutes of physical activity with their teachers, ranging from learning how to skip, jump rope, ride bikes, play games and the rules and behaivor that go along with play activity. Children need to develop their gross motor skills to function and concentrate better in the classroom. This combination keeps the children engaged and skilled.
Year End Show
As the year winds down and comes to a close, we invite the children to Fellowship Hall for one last educational and fun show before
summer break is upon us.
